Borrowin’ Guitars and Stealin’ Hearts is likely a true story for many people, including myself. It’s true, this came into my head after a relationship gone wrong. Seemed perfect to do in the classic country two-step groove with a fiddle kick, a sound made famous by Ray Price and Hank Williams. It is very possibly inspired by a song recorded in the early 70’s by Porter Wagoner & Dolly Parton and also the Osborne Brothers entitled Each Season Changes You.

Three years we were together ’til our feelings changed Two more years it took for us to work it out Now we're through and I’m all alone again just sittin’ around, tryin’ to figure it out

Now I’m, Borrowin’ guitars and stealin’ hearts, that’s what I do Until I find the perfect match for me and I’m, Takin’ my time to play each one I find It’s the only way to know which one’s for me
