Ozark Roots meets Portland Soul

JT Trawick is a 4th-generation Ozark musician, folk storyteller, and former host of the "Fiddle Me This" podcast. Rooted in tradition, JT's projects range from his heartfelt solo work—currently recording a new album—to his lively band, JT & the Mudbugs, which injects Texan swing elements into its sound. JT is available for private events and can tailor performances, including an authentic bluegrass experience, for any gathering.

Join us for a landmark evening of music as we celebrate the official release of Ozark Original, the debut full-length album from JT Trawick.

For one night only, the core studio band is reuniting to bring the heart of the Ozarks to the stage. This isn't just another gig—it’s the first and only time you’ll hear these songs performed live by the exact lineup that captured them on tape.

The Lineup: Experience the synergy of four master musicians in one room:

-David Lipkind on the soulful harmonica. -Peter "Spud" Siegel bringing the bright, driving energy of the mandolin. -Andy Emert on the masterful fiddle. -JT leading the way on guitar and vocals.

The Performance The setlist features the entire Ozark Original journey—all eleven original tracks plus a few deep-cut covers honoring the musical heroes who inspired the project. From foot-stomping rhythms to intimate storytelling, this is a celebration of Americana, folk, and the spirit of the hills.

A seasoned performer with over 20 years on the stage, JT blends the raw grit of Ozark Mountain folk with the swinging rhythms of Texas Swing and original Americana. Fresh off the release of his latest live-off-the-floor album, JT’s performance captures the authentic, unvarnished spirit of a back-porch jam session brought to the big stage.

Supporting the revival are two stalwarts of the Pacific Northwest acoustic scene:

Kate Lichtenstein: A staple of the regional old-time community, Kate’s driving fiddle style and mountain-inspired vocals bring a deep sense of tradition and joy to the stage.

Matt Sircely: A world-class mandolinist, songwriter, and founding member of the string-swing ensemble Hot Club Sandwich, Matt’s intricate playing and evocative songwriting have earned him a reputation as one of the finest multi-instrumentalists in the West.Expect a night of original songs, traditional tunes, and the kind of musical chemistry that only happens when three masters of their craft share a stage.

Join us for Front Porch Live, an in-person celebration of Ozark mountain folk songs and stories. Much like the JT’s Front Porch podcast, this live show features two 45-minute sets of original songs, timeless classics, and deep-dive interviews.

Our first featured guest is the legendary Peter "Spud" Siegel. A riverboat captain and Pacific Northwest icon, Spud is a founding member of the BBQ Boys and the Floating Glass Balls. Expect a masterclass in mandolin, pocket trumpet, and more as we share the stories behind the music.
